In this work is presented the synthesis and characterization of a polymer compound based on a polynorbornene dicarboximide modified with montmorillonite for its subsequent functionalization and study as proton exchange membranes (PEM) in fuel cells. The synthesis was carried out via ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP), and the obtained polymer compound was characterized in terms of its structure, morphology, as well as its thermal and mechanical properties.
